Headed back to familiar ground. Will fish Spring Creek reservoir, Mirror Lake and a few creeks and the river in between. Plan on putting a few hundred miles on the Ranger over the 8 days we'll be there. Anyone been to this area recently? We usually go later, hearing Taylor River is high, Spring Creek Reservoir was drained last year for dam repair, so a few things for me to consider.

Think the Lake Fork Marina on Blue Mesa is closed but if not renting a boat is an option. About 5 years ago we rented a little "old" ski boat and had a blast driving it around the lake. Looked like the one below but it was black.

I was there recently, the Taylor at Almont is still over 500 cfs. Too high to wade fish until July.

Hoping it stays at 500cfm through the week of July 9-15, that makes for great rafting! We will be somewhere around Colorado Springs riding SxS’s, fishing, and white water rafting.

I like Lake City and the Alpine loop, but there’s something about that drive into LC that I absolutely HATE

Anyone ever fished Texas Lakes, North of Taylor Reservoir on Texas Creek Trail? They're small and only accessible <50" vehicle. Found these on On X off road.
