I've used nasal pillows since my first machine 30 years ago. Recently I've worn a sore inside my nose that's killing me. My question, do you wear a full face, or nose only and do you like it? Pros\cons?

Nose covering only for many years but pondering going full face because of my dry mouth.

Full face (pillow goes above nose, around mouth and under chin) going on 10+ years. Preferred by wife because really helps keep my mouth closed (i.e. greatly reduced snoring)

Nose only, for maybe 5 years now. Just now having some issues with scabbing inside my nose. I doubt I'll switch to a full-face mask. Forgot my power cord last week when I went to the ranch. That was a rough couple of nights. 'Hate being dependent on the dam thing.

Nose only for about three years. No problems as of yet. I use the humidifier. I hate it but my lovely bride loves me not snoring all night…

Same here. Nose only since 2016. I get the scabs sometimes and I normally slow down on my CPAP usage then.

I have been using a new model nose without "pillows, nothing goes inside my nose. I believe ResMed makes them.

My cushion covers nose and mouth, believe it is an F30. Most comfortable one I have found, and I can wear my glasses and read

I got on the nose hose in 2018, my wife was tired of the snoring. Well, now I don't snore but she does. I use the one that covers the mouth and just snugs up under the nose but does not go in the nostril, it has never caused any sores or anything. I don't take it when I travel, and when I get back from a week or more of being without it, it is hard to make myself use it again.

You probably have an ingrown hair and not a mask problem

I use nose pillows if you get a sore change the nose piece. Wipe down sore with alcohol and Q Tip several times per day till dried up. May have to miss a night or two of treatment till it gets better.
Also every morning wipe down nose pillows with a baby wipe to clean.
Hang up hose and disconnect one side of nose pillow to dry moisture in nose pillow & hose.

My routine and no issues.

Good luck.

Get a chin strap. Dry mouth is because your mouth is open. With mouth open your not getting all the benefits of the Cpap machine.
Mouth must be closed for full effect.

Nasal pillows for me and I have had a few incidents of getting a sore inside my nose and have found that moving up a size from M to L changes the pressure points enough for a sore to heal much quicker.

Something I had not considered. Seeing a doc Tuesday.

Oh, I have and use a chin strap, just don't like it. My dry mouth is because of previous cancer surgery/radiation where most of my saliva glands were fried.

Either that or you may not wake up.

Dr. Told me when i asked if it will bother my wife, he said she'll be fine because you'll be alive.
It took about 5 days to get used to.

I can't sleep without it. My blood oxygen levels get critical if I don't wear it. We had no electricity at deer camp and sleep was horrible.

I seriously believe I would have died by now if I hadn't been diagnosed with sleep apnea. I would come home from work at 5 and be in bed by 7. On weekends I would sleep until 2 or 3 in the afternoon. Loud snoring, night sweats, high blood pressure, frequent urination at night, etc. All that went away when I got my cpap.

Full mask user here. Quite often I have a stopped up nose from allergies and other stuff.

coffee spelled backwards is eeffoc. I don't give eeffoc until I have my morning coffee.

I was going to buy a generator or one of the portable power supply machines if I went hunting where there was no electricity but these are very expensive

I've used nasal pillow for nearly a decade. Just wipe the thing down every few days with rubbing alcohol.

I've used one for years. For the nose sores, I sometimes get them. If you take a Q-Tip with Neosporin on it and coat the inside of your nose, this will help. If it's a sore, I'll use peroxide and Neosporin to clean and heal it. If you just want to help prevent some sores or discomfort, just the Neosporin by itself will work. I generally get a slight nose discomfort when using it with no humidity turned on (like when traveling with no distilled water). I'll turn up the moisture and it will help. Also, make sure you have a good seal. I've noticed I'll get some discomfort when I move into a position and get a leak and air blows hard in one spot, especially if I don't shave for several days.

Same concept for me as SW, but mine's just a bit different. Goes under the nose and doesn't cover it.
