Wife and I are looking for a place to go. When the doc gives her the Ok to get back to her normal life, we are gonna hit the road, and Eureka Springs looks like a good spot. We’ll be up there to visit her brother, a bit south of there, anyway. Seems like there was a discussion of Eureka Springs and what to see a while back. Is it worth the trip?

I had a thread going about it. Should be easy to find. When I get some time I can give you a recap. We went to 5 different fairly nice places for dinner and all were good. Passion Play a must.

I found the thread. Thanks. The wife seems interested. We’ll take the RV. She’s searching for a good RV park or state park near there.

We’ll be taking the Winnebago Sprinter RV. Easy to drive. 17 mpg on diesel. Not as good for camping as the TT is, due to being pretty compact, but great for traveling in steep hills and winding roads. The wife, having been laid up for a while after surgery, is raring to go.

I was told about the gays before going and if I hadn’t I would of never noticed. Certainly saw some but not so bad. Seemed mostly restaurant employees but that’s elsewhere also. Tons of tourists there and they were all kinds of folks.

They're there for the same thing I am. Don't even pay attention.

We just got back from ES a few weeks ago, we went just after Memorial Day. I thought it was a a clash of opposite cultures. You have the Bible belt people there, with the big Passion of the Christ musical, and everything. Then you have all the gays walking around, mainly downtown area. Also, sprinkle in some biker culture, and it was quite the mixture. None of it bothers me, it makes for excellent people watching. All that being said, I don't think I would go back. It was beyond beautiful at our cabin on Beaver Lake, but there is so much USA to see, it is hard to make return trips to places.

That was my impression of Duval St. in Key West. But I haven’t lived in California.

We spent every summer on beaver lake growing up. So many memories.

Been there once for a week.
Agree with everything said here.
Never seen so many homos in one place.
Awfully crowded with lots of traffic jams.
We booked a guide and enjoyed fishing the River.

It was ok to see once but I wouldn’t go back.

My brother lived up there. Fun place to visit.
