Unfortunately, I'm not a deer lease this fall. But, I could see a lot more carpooling with other lessees. In the past, I always wanted my own truck regardless of whether other guys were going at the same time. When gas is $2/gallon, the added expense isn't that much of a big deal even with gas guzzling pickups. Completely different story when it's approaching $5/gallon. That’s going to be my strategy.

What does the gutless method have to do with not getting neck meat? Or did I miss a joke in there? I am "always" serious - most people I have seen utilizing the "gutless" method take the quarters and back straps.

Here is what I think, and you can take it to the bank. If you think you can't afford driving to the lease you have already paid for, I have the perfect solution. Start drinking cheaper beer and whiskey. who gives a rats a** what you look like drinking Busch instead of some high dollar beer costing 4 times as much? And as always this is only my opinion, and everyone knows what that is.
