Put corn feeders out last weekend in Eastland County. Place hasn’t been hunted in at least 5 years. How long do y’all think until the deer find it? Should I add something else to bring them in?

I don’t think it will take long. Would depend on how hungry they are as well.

If they haven't found them yet, then you put them in the wrong place. Give it a couple of weeks and you'll have regulars.

if you have hogs, they will find the feeders too and they will camp out next to the feeders and hit em as soon as they go off. If you have hogs, you should consider hog panels around the feeders or the deer won't get very much corn. Set up game cameras on each feeder to know what you have

x2.

Take the time and put up panels. If you're wanting to hunt hogs as well, make the area small enough that the feeder throws corn outside of the pen as well. That way your deer will have reserved seating inside and the pigs will show up for the scraps.

It's probably because of lower density (I hope), but they very rarely even come in when the feeders go off on my place. 8 feeders. They're on camera checking it out in the middle of the night, but not when it goes off. Extremely rare to get a picture of them "camping out". No panels.

48 hours, max. It only takes one deer that knows what that sound is. I guarantee everybody out there is hungry right now, given the drought status.

My spots hadn’t been hunted or maintained at all for 5-6 years. Put corn in the protein feeders last year, they immediately found one of them. The other, I drove down the lane and threw handfuls of corn on the lane and into the woods. Next day they were on the feeder

It won’t take long for deer and hogs to find it.

I filled one at 12:20 on Saturday that hadn't had anything in it since January. I tested it once for five seconds and drove off. Six hours and fifteen minutes later the first deer visited. It ran again at 8:45pm but only had four visitors that night. When it ran at 6:30 the next morning there were as many as nine deer in the pictures and they've been on it like white on rice ever since. Somehow the sheep haven't found it yet.

Like others have said, usually within 48 hours.

My brother doesn't even use feeders. When he goes out he throws out 50-150 lbs of corn all over the ground and within 3 days it's usually gone.

Deer flock to white rice?

I put out a feeder one time, and had deer on camera 3 hours later. I've had feeders out that had nothing touch it for weeks. If you don't have deer within a week, it's probably in the wrong spot.

My son got mad because I filled his feeder last Thursday ahead of the youth opener. He said you got your scent all over it right before the weekend. The deer were there as usual about 45 min after I left lol

Deer can smell corn up to almost 400 yards away. They already found them.

I just recently put up a feeder in an area that hasn’t been hunted in over 9 years and had deer on camera that night. Put up another yesterday afternoon in an area that’s never been hunted, hoping for the same results.
