Finally got an editing program simple enough for me to use, so I just kind of mashed up the good parts of a lot of pig killin' videos into one. Some good shooting, some not so good, but lots of dead pigs. Not all of them we killed in the last year or so by any stretch, but I had to stop because I thought the video was getting too long and I was tired of editing. Didn't put music to this one because I had some folks tell me they would have preferred my coyote video without it. Hope you enjoy.

So what video editing program did you go with?

I went with OpenShot. I like the way it is laid out with different screens, no shifting back and forth. It made it real intuitive to me, which is a good thing for this non-technical oriented person. There are some really good tutorial videos for it out on youtube. This tutorial had me up and running real fast. Easy to add pictures, music, trim videos on either end as you add them, whatever.

Here is a coyote video I did with music (which not everyone likes the music, lol.) Originally I had the music way too loud and it covered up all the sound from the thermal. I ended up adjusting the music volume all the way down to like 5% or something where it was still there in the background but you could hear the thermal feed too.

Very cool. What thermal are you running?

Pulsar Thermion XQ50 in an American Defense QD mount. Good scope, I have shot lots of pigs and coyotes with it. Holds zero great. I have not had any trouble with it at all and I have hunted with it a bunch over the last 2 years. I really love everything about it, except it is pretty heavy. Wish it was lighter.
