Anyone here take an anti-depressant? Will this red flag you?

Good question.

Nope not me. I know some that it will. I know some that I wouldn't trust with firearms who are on anti-depressants. I have a few buddies with PTSD that I don't allow around guns on my place unless I'm hunting with them and then they get the single shot. It's been my experience that things can change in a split second. I've served with some great guys but after coming home they aren't the same people that left.

Texas doesn’t have red flag laws although I hear congress is trying to pass a law to bribe states to implement them via increased federal funding. That funding would be better suited to harden schools.

Better start watching what you post on THF, FB, Twitter, etc as I have a feeling that we are going to get to a point where social and online activity and presence will be used against you. It already is for employment.

The problem with anti-depressants is that most people do not understand depression. There are the rare exceptions, but for the most part people who are depressed are usually just tired and dont want to do anything.

Hopefully school teachers and administrators keep good records on the kids who have noticeably loose screws for the benefit of those who come asking about them.

I agree. Changing your diet to get better nutrition and getting a little more active can help. There is a place for antidepressants and anti anxiety medication but it’s overprescribed.

Only way to counter is legislation for serious repercussions for red law abuse.
