Thanks Joe.

This year it's really going to pay to grow your own stuff. Seeds are still cheap, plus it's better than what you get in the store anyway.

Can't think of one thing that hasn't been affected negatively by the Potato.

We haven’t had enough rain to grow weeds, much less any vegetables. And our tap water isn’t garden friendly.

I really feel sorry for the restaurant guys. So glad I retired from that biz before all this last few years.

Corn at Bucees Denton still 9.98. it’s been 9.88 or 9.98 for many months, so they are holding it “down” somewhat/somehow.

I paid $.67 for a single lemon. I have bought them as low as 10 for $1 in the last 18 months. They have been on a steady climb for the last 10 months or so though. Bout to just buy me a lemon tree. As long as I have fish and lemons I can live forever.

I ran reports on parts I’ve bought in the last 60 days alone and it came to 11% and the previous 12 months was another 9% so it’s way higher than any 8%.

A. Not as much as this martini aficionado.
And B. Lemon trees aren't that easy to grow. (We've been keeping one alive for about 4 years now. 'Got 3, total, lemons so far.)

100% correct.

Hardly any changes in the country grocery store I go to. Looks like more of an issue with large grocery chains.

Skyrocketing for the items actually on the shelves.

I was just in the grocery store 30 minutes ago, and once again, shelves are running very, very low!

...!

Thanks Joe.

Got 5 for $1 last week at HEB...bought several. Avocados have been the highest rising produce item I've seen recently, but they've come down close to what they were. They went from $.68 to $1.28 and back to $.76. I buy eggplants, broccoli, lettuce, tomatoes, sweet potatoes, avocados, green onions, sweet onions, yellow squash, zucchini squash, spaghetti squash, etc. every week. Avocados have been the highest. You just really gotta shop around. The app Flipp is great to see what's on sale and where.
