up Having been involved in doing hundreds of them over the years when I was younger, that is impressive. Especially with hand tools and cold blue.

Thank you guys again for all the kind words!! It really was a lot of fun and being able to see him smile when he saw the pics was completely worth it

Beautiful rescue job on all of them.

He lived by the gulf and the safe was in a shop he had outside. Several entry doors to get to it as well as a sealed up shop and safe, but had been there for a while and the salt air just got to everything (seals included) as well as no desiccant for who knows how long. He did have another safe in the same area that was a higher end safe that was far more protected than this one wound up being!

Funny enough, most of them got a lot of elbow grease with some of the Meguiars plastic wipes I use/keep in my truck. Some got light sanding and a quick polish, but mostly they got rubbed down real hard with those wipes or even some Old English

Glad someone can appreciate it like you can! The cold blue was certainly a trick to learn but I developed some skills along the way that I'll have forever. Just over the weekend I picked up a couple restoration projects from a good buddy to do for him

Excellent! If you need it restored, call someone else! LOL!! (Kidding, I'd happily do it all over again)

Nice work. You probably didn't need whiskey the way that hotel room would have smelled.
