Plus 1, =334, Taylor county . I camped out there overnight, disappointed I didn’t get more pigs. But I did get a coyote and a gobbler too.

Plus 2 = 336, Kimble County. Pulled up to the corral trap and my system finally worked! At least 8 of the little orphans were in there. They'd stayed in all night. Then, as I got out, they started getting inspired to jump about two feet above the 4X4 panels and wiggle out the panel behind it with 6" wide holes. I got some .22 lead in some, but, I actually stopped and executed...1. (6" panel was immediately overlayed with more 4X4.) I continued to throw lead with the 10/22 at the little bastards as they went this way and that through the brush outside the corral. Not efficient, but kinda fun. Trying to trap pigs on this place has made me appreciate the phrase "It's a process." Later this morning, rounding to fill a few corn feeders, there were two small-to-medium size under a feeder (with more itty bitty ones flowing around them). They were nervous and jigging around, but I managed to get a .280 bullet in one that ran off and took a wild-hair, 200 yard shot at the second one trotting away and heard a "whack!" Checked the first one's blood trail with Bebe the wonder dog (she's worthless, but has a ton of fun trying ) and found nothing. Walking to where I tried for the 2nd one, I was shocked to see him laying there stone dead. My 100th confirmed pig kill on the ranch. (5 to 10 have been made by some good friends visiting.) I and others have put plenty of lead in numerous others, but not recovered or confirmed kills. Still, in 3 years, it oughta be 250+, but, it's somethin'...for a city boy.

The She-Wolf dropped this one in the rain this morning. Make it an even 360.

Got a shoat last night, Fort Bend County (361). Used my 357 Blackhawk to finish it off, first blood for that gun. I think this one was actually behind a larger hog I shot at, but that one ran through the fence into a dense swampy area so not counting it without confirmed kill.
