For me it was midway. Saw it the first time in Sensurround, awesome. Probably watched it 10 times since then.

Cross of Iron..Sam Peckinpah Sam goes to war with his only film set during WWII and it may be one of the greatest war films ever made...according to one Orson Welles it was the greatest. Quentin Tarantino cites the film as an in influence for his Inglourious Basterds and master auteur Orson Welles said it was one of the greatest anti-war films ever made.
