My place in colorado is too far to drive for a weekend fly fishing trip. So where are some places in decent driving distance to go? Went to broken bow a while back. It is okay and I will be going back but need some other places to catch trout also.
Then on another subject where would be your choice to go for redfish on a fly rod. That is a trip I defiantly want to do. Directly below PK dam for about a mile. Discharge is could enough still trout, also some nice strippers

Below PK dam is as far as I know the only place to fish for trout in Texas in the Summer as the put and take fish are dead from water temperature by then. Otherwise if you want to fish for trout the closest is Arkansas or Oklahoma.
