Ok here we go. In your opinion which muscle car modern (ha) or true old school has the best IDLE sound? Stock, btw.

Not above idle sound just sitting there rumbling.

Pics would be awesome.

Why send a pic when you can send a video and hear it?

My 1980 GMC Sierra 1500 had a cam shaft and lifters from an IROC Camaro in it with dualed out exhaust and it idled so stupendously it set off other car's alarms!

100% true story.

You're welcome.

Had a buddy in high school with one of these, red w/white vinyl top. The Hurst shifter with manual gate was cool.

Hurst livery on what looks like a twin behind it

The Terminator Cobras are hard to beat, as is a cammed Vette. But, I'm partial to this one (I know, not a muscle car). Idle is nice, but the revs are ridiculous.

Thatā€™s not stock. Literally states that it has a cam and full exhaust system.

I was always partial to the 1970 Chevrolet with an LS6, hard to beat the rumble of a Chevy big block. Of course I have no idea what an original stock big block from that era sounds like because that was 15 years before my time, so from my actual experience, Iā€™d have to say a ZR1 Corvette.

Love these cars. Pretty good value for what you get.

There was one just like this at Park Place Arlington a few months ago. That is one sweet Benz! I checked it out when we were getting my son's Mercedes.

My old 1971 Boss 351. Solid cam and lifters, leaded fuel, Autolite 4300D on top of a factory aluminum intake, factory manifolds and exhaust, 4-speed close ratio top loader and 31 spline axles with a 3.91 traction lock rear. All original equipment. Sold in 2006 and don't miss her. Pulling valve covers on a hot engine and adjusting valves sucks.

Here she was idling.

Those '71's always looked like a mini-station wagon to me.

Sorry OP, no one read your question or at least they don't care to answer it.

My vote is a '69 ZL1 Camaro (69 produced) or Corvette (2-3 produced) with the aluminum block and the big nasty solid FACTORY cam (similar in spec to the LS6 cam mentioned above but rowdier). Advertised at 430 HP and made about 560-620 stock at the crank.

Pass the gravy.

I'd rather have that 71 than the 65 Fastback daddy sold from underneath me.
