Not that I have seen. But I'm doing some loads for it now. I was just curious if anyone was playing with it yet or not. You can't get dies for it yet, and a 6.5 PRC bushing die won't work (the opening is too small inside the neck area for 7mm). This is for a 6.5 PRC necked up to 7mm.

I would hope it wasn't released yet. Not that I have anything against it. If 6.5PRC and 300PRC brass is not available, and factory ammo is stupid expensive, 7PRC released now might fall flat on it's buttocks.

It’s coming but it won’t be based off either of the two previous PRC’s cases.
Horizon has been doing the 6.5 PRC necked up to 7MM for a while...Derrick has one and basically duplicates 284 Winchester without the rebated rim. Running 175gr at 2800 or so.

Has anyone noticed there are no Hornady 7MM 175/180gr bullets on the shelves and haven’t been for a while..
.....just saying.

David, is he running it on a long action, I'm assuming?

Nope, but my 'smith keeps trying to get me to build one. Not the 6.5prc necked up, he's wanting the 300prc necked down since he already has the reamer for it. Guess that would make it a 7-300prc? He built a couple for a fella out in arizona and said it's been pretty stout.

That would be very close to a 28 Nosler, which is a great round.

I'd build one if it fit in a short action, but I'm guessing it won't. (7/6.5, that is)

I'm getting 2960 with 175's out of a 7 Saum with 22-in barrel and thinking it'll probably speed up a little. Saums may or may not be on their way out but it seems to me they can already accomplish what a 7PRC would do and probably do it a little better.

Yes, the 6.5 SAUM and 6.5 PRC are very close. 7 SAUM would be really close to the 7/6.5 PRC.

The 280 AI should out run the 7/6.5 PRC slightly, I would think. It has a little more case volume, but on a long action.

I have heard rumors that the Hornady factory 7PRC is possibly a 300prc necked down to 7. Who knows though
