Take the lift off, swap out the tires and keep it.

KBB trade-in value on your truck looks like around $47k.

I traded in my wife's Tahoe today. It was a 2021 with 34k miles, and had a rip in one of the seat backs and worn out tires. They gave us more in trade than we paid for it almost 2 years ago, so I'd say it's a great time to trade in. But, you'll pay more for a new one than you would have 2 years ago, so it's about a wash.

Almost always true. A typical lift kit with wheels and tires costs about $12K retail to install and can reduce the value about the same amount. I wouldn't give $15K for a diesel or a F*** but I bet your truck is worth more than $35K somehow. Just shows how little the dollar is worth.

Pass the gravy.

Most lifts require cutting off parts of the frame (hence why they reduce the value usually). Most lifts can't be taken off.

Lifts devalue trucks cuz of the ride, the increased difficulty of getting in them and not everybody even wanting a lift. Some Ricky Bobbys do still covet them, but it does take a lot of potential purchasers out of the market.

Since he’s a little fellow, maybe he just wants to see over everyone.

Having a Carli lift provides very little in the way of additional potential purchasers.

Take it to Car-max and have them give you a trade in market value on it. Then mark it up at least $5k as you can always come down on your price.

With only 68k on the clock, you're looking at a lot more money than $35k. In fact, that's a pretty insulting number.

MMR is around $40k with adjustments, Manheim retail est is $44k.

If you are buying new take in account for the tax differential in trade, at a $35k trade you'd add an additional $2200. If you were trading I would shoot closer to $40k, not unreasonable. And that lift and wheels wont hurt value, wont add anything, but wont hurt.

As far as buying right now, going back into a Ford, it is a bad time. They are still adding an adjustment to their trucks.

$35k sounds pretty low.

I personally wont buy a vehicle that's already lifted, regardless of whether its new or used. Too many unknowns. Did it live 100% on pavement or was previous owner jumping it in the desert? Was lift installed by a reputable shop or was it previous owner cranking on it? Also, whether used or new the seller is always thinking about the $ they dropped on customizing and going to want to get it back. Dealers will mark up lift and tires by insane amounts.

Right now seems like a great time to sell but horrible time to buy unless you find a heck of a deal. Limited inventory, interest rates on the way up. Only x-factor here is gas prices and I could see demand for gas guzzlers dropping.
