It’s always seemed like a low self esteem thing to me. Of course you did. I know a forensic investigator that’s been a POPO for 20 years that has about 30-35 on his arms legs chest, mostly thin blue line and constitutionally themed. Pretty sure he doesn’t have low self esteem.

I went to Oceanside with a bunch of guys when I was in the Marines. We got a bit drunk and everyone but me got a tattoo. One guy had a spider tattooed on his butt. One had a dragon done on his right calf. And one got a Mockingbird done on his belly and it was shown to be pulling a worm out of his navel. I just didn’t see the need for a tattoo, and still don’t.

Apparently you weren’t drunk enough….you were still able to see you didn’t need one
