 Tenure. A big problem.

I really haven’t thought much about it. Daughter comes home from college and goes over her grades with us. Said she got an A In English, but the professor stopped showing up a month ago because he didn’t get tenured.
Started thinking about this. Definitely an outdated system, no public job (public university) gives you impunity to say and do what you want. Explains these kids who get a bachelors, then masters and PhD then get professor jobs. No real world experience.
Tenure has been a problem and is now being looked at in several states. S Carolina, Georgia, Texas. Nothing stays the same. Maybe this can correct personal beliefs being taught.

It's a worthless system...
I had many great professors, when I went to college...
But it was 1976..
Would you fly, if the pilot system, was the same ??
