With afternoon temps today predicted to top 104, Jane and I wanted to get down to the garden early and give everything a drink before the blast furnace got into full swing. Consequently, I rolled out of bed a bit after six and got coffee started...then went in to wake her at 0630. With the sun about to peek over the horizon, I opened the bedroom blinds...and spotted a dark form south of the house. "Excuse me, sweetheart...I gotta go shoot a pig..." By the time I'd walked back, picked up my coyote rig (a Sako AI in .223), and stepped outside he'd moved off to the west. That tack would take him to the pens and the only available water on the place. I followed him in the scope and, when he stepped clear of some prickly pear, I put a 50 grain Ballistic Tip behind his right ear. DRT. ![[Linked Image]](https://i.imgur.com/etXrRdPl.jpg)
