I came across this auction for a pre 1867 Evans & Co Spear Point Bowie. Found a few past auctions for similar knives made by the same company, decided to put a bid in and actually won the dang thing. Thought y’all might like to see the craftsmanship:

Very cool , but that is not a bowie blade imo.
Maybe a knife maker will chime in on that.
Looks like a dagger to me.

Still, sorry for the post, it is very cool.

You might email the Buffalo Bill museum in Cody and see what they know.
