What other powders are you using for subsonic ammo? This would be for bottlenecked cases, like a 308 Win, 6.5 Creedmoor, etc, (and not for rounds like a 300 blk out). I know Trail Boss is ideal, but it's not to be had anywhere. I'm about to play with some other powders I think may work. But I wanted to see if you had any other one's that work well.

Here is some info if you haven’t seen it already.

I have used Hercules 2400 in the past but didn’t go down to sub speeds in 270 Win

A1680, H110, lil gun, 2400, blue dot, unique. Most of this is for .300BLK. I’ve never had a chance to try trail boss
What kind of noise does it make loaded to say 1050?

I thought downloading H110 was an absolute no no. Won’t it flash over and have a crazy pressure spike.

Thanks David! Yes, I've seen that also. I've played with TiteGroup, but I think it's too fast and it raises my ES into the 70's and 80's. I have a few slower pistol powders I was wanting to try.

Yes, as will Blue Dot. What works in the blk out is different than what works in larger, bottle necked rounds.

Not that I have anything significant to contribute here, but I was looking at powders for 300BLK subsonic with the Hornady 190 SUB X
After looking at quickload and working up some ideas The Hodgdon CFE BLK looked most promising for making pressure and sub velocity.
The issue I was seeing is that many powders will push a heavy with enough velocity but not many make much pressure. More especially in a 300 pistol.
I never got any of it but I did search and it has been available. I will be getting some for testing but just things to ponder right now

Yes, Blanco, you're doing exactly what I'm doing. I'm running the numbers in QL and seeing what might work. I have a few ideas on some powders that I think will work. I have lots of Benchmark powder to play with. But the burn rate is too slow and only provides about an 80%-85% burn (or less, IIRC). I've thought about testing it anyway to see how it does.

H4895 - even 'recommended' by Hogdon - https://hodgdon.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/09/h4895-reduced-rifle-loads.pdf

I've loaded some in the past for 30-30; safe; fun, and pretty consistent.
