Keep seeing these movie trailers for "Jurassic World Dominion" where dinosaurs have reestablished themselves on the US mainland. In my book they'd be considered a non-native species in Texas, so we'd be able to hunt them from day one. Would make for some great debates on this forum in relation to proper caliber size, so we might as well go there in hopes it happens some day. banana

Including a size chart against an African Elephant with skeletal details to work out proper bullet placement.

First I would want a butcher's processing guide.

.577 Tyrannosaur, obviously. If only take him if he’s charging, though.

Well, besides the .577, there is only one other gun I’ve seen that would do the job:

I’d go with a .22 Short right in the eye… rifle

All those old caveman movies and cartoons show them being killed with nothing but a sharp stick so it can’t be that hard…..

Solid choice IMO. In reality I think you could head shoot them with a .375 H&H if you ear hole them.

But... would be a great excuse to add a .600 or .700 Nitro Express to the gun safe. up

Red Rider BB gun as backup.

It is all about shot placement.

Beat me to it. 45# with a fixed blade is all that is needed. Getting close enough is the problem.

You guys shoot the T-Rex. I’ll stand back and hold your beer. And I’ll likely drink it, since you won’t be needing it any more.

Better yet, let’s back off about 1000 yards and let Fireman plug him.

For shot placement I think you need to go through the hips and break it down. Once on the ground it wouldn't be much of a threat.

Effective, yes. but wouldn't that ruin a heck of a lot of meat? Especially since the front quarters are pretty skimpy?

High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

I wouldn't want one of those getting any closer than a couple miles to me, so make it an Anzio 20mm for me (suppressed, of course! wink ):

Don't understand why the .223 hasn't been mentioned. Never seen any debate about the round's ability to take down big game. Plenty of knockdown power with proper shot placement.
