... they are from the part that use to be Texas Yeah, even I'll admit that that was a bit of "overreach". I do wish we'd kept Santa Fe though. 'Wouldn't be a San Francisco wannabe these days.

If you can get to McKinney I’ve got a guy that will delete and tune it for $1250.
My 2014 has 182,000 miles, it’s been deleted since 99,500 miles and has given ZERO issues. I would be all over this. My mechanic said EPA was crawling up everyone’s butt. Deleting should be illegal. Why should diesels get a pass? I don't get one on my gasser. My personal property, I can do whatever the F I want. Diesel do not emit carbon and the “DEF solution” will have a huge impact if you can’t get DEF, which is why they have required it. It’s only an issue if you plan to trade it in….mainstream dealers will deny them or charge you to re-install the DEF
But if your keeping it, delete it I have never traded one it. First attempt, they royally pissed me off. Sold two trucks to individuals. And I know there are people put there intentionally looking for deleted diesels. I was one of those people, and found this jewel:

“Here” is a whole different country Bob. No. No its not. Diesels pollute just as much as gas engines. It makes no sense to exempt them. Personally I think inspections are stupid, but if we have to have them they should be equal. No. Diesel trucks and gas trucks should never and will never be equal, just like Texas football and Oklahoma football. Texas is the diesel, Oklahoma is the gasser....one is stronger, more superior. Follow me? whoa, Whoa, WHOA! You take that back ForeSkinner! Yes, UT gets a better recruiting class each year but they underperform...just like a broken down DEF diesel.
I was wrong...on anything technical. Fitz............. is right, ya know............

Update as of 5 PM Thursday, ten days into it. Ford is expecting a shipment from the parts manufacturer 05/23. They did not say how many they were expecting to come in which, well, is important as I am # 201 on the nationwide wait list. Once it gets to Ford on 05/23, we then get the opportunity to wait for them to ship it to New Barnflies at which time the repair will be performed. Not sure what I am gong to do if only 200 are supplied.
Remember peoples, this is a warrantied item. They get to pay for it. Deleting it at this time makes little, if any, sense to me.

You've been broke down for 10 days. It will break down again, and potentially leave you stranded on the side of the road. Deleting it, makes all this go away from now on. Look past the money side and look at the long term reliability.

And or 10 years for DEF pump/heater I had to pay for def heater replacement on my 2014 when it had 145k. Had received a recall notice a few months before, but was already past the max mileage of 120 k if I remember correctly.

I went from 14-16 mpg to 20-22 mpg and have had zero issues.
Also, inspection people can fail it if they notice however none them give a crap about that..

Same with GM. We can't get stuff like we should. If it's a Federal tamper part, the GM truck will eventually refuse to go over 4 MPH if not serviced so you can't just drive and wait for the part to come in.
Costs over $10K to delete a 2020+ L5P.
I just put a $3500 DPF on a 2017...but that's what you get when you drive the thing into the ground ignoring the messages on the dash.
In nearly 21 years at the same GM shop I have only seen two DMax's replaced. Once was wrecked.
Pass the gravy.

Just got recall/settlement letter in the mail, pretty sure its 150k and 10 years on DEF heater, but I’m not at home. If you already had it replaced they will reimburse the costs also. Mine is a 15 so I don’t know all years involved but I’d guess 14-16 I replaced first one on this truck at 75k out of pocket

I’m sure I could find the receipt for the DEF heater I paid for.
