The littlest grandbabies are coming from out of state tomorrow (along with their parents). My wife has been to HEB or Walmart, each day, for the last 3 days. 'Just finished helping unload a trunk full of groceries...again. I have also unfolded two Pack-n-plays upstairs and have to get a new car seat installed tomorrow in the pick-up vehicle.

Anyone else experienced this with their, ahem..."mature" wife?

Grammy just bellowed for me to come upstairs 'cause I didn't put the pad in the netting properly in the pack'n-play for the 5 month old. Shoulda had the other daughter write a script for Prozac for this weekend. I could put it in a piece of cheese.

What Creekrunner may not know is that there is always serious competition between grandmothers. Each wants to be the Alpha Grandma, the one the kids actually call “Grandma”. It’s serious bidness and it can get expensive. Kind of fun to watch if you know what’s going on.

Looks like the Grandkids have Grampy & Grammy under control already

We just got the two-year-old down, after just me and Grammy having them since about 9 a.m. Their parents are headed back here from a wedding in Galveston. Holy crap, I'd forgotten how much energy it takes! I've been sweating all day since we took them to a playground. Up and down the stairs I don't know how many times. My back may never recover. I think the 5-month-old little man is constipated. We're still trading off rocking him. I swear he sleeps with one eye open. 'Pretty sure he gets that from me. No memory on earth like rocking your progeniture on your chest though. Something you carry with you to the end.
