Happened three blocks from my house. The child is in stable condition now. We live right next to the White Rock Creek green belt. Lots of critters in the area.

I thought I was going to have a police interview two weeks ago on the Fort Worth side of the plex. At my daughter’s soccer practice and one came strolling through the parking lot, I jumped out to scary it off and it wasn’t leaving real quick, thankfully he moved on. Good to here the kid is stable, scary situation

Scary
Glad to see he is recovering. This could have easily ended up much, much worse.
Unfortunately I think we will start seeing this far more frequently as wild animals become not so wild with all them becoming used to living right amongst people in towns/cities.
High fence, low fence, no fence, it really doesn't matter as long as you're hunting!

They actually killed 4-5 yotes in that area over the weekend, TPWD and city animal services and law enforcement. The attack was last week and I understand the child is recovering well and nearing hospital discharge, though he's still mentally scared and understandably so. Unfortunately they probably won't be able to tell if any of those killed yotes was the one that attacked the child.

The boy is at home now: Knox's mother, Genna Thomas, told WFAA that her son is doing well and is recuperating at home, expecting to recover following the attack. "He's acting like himself, but he certainly doesn't look like himself," Thomas said. https://www.wfaa.com/article/news/l...287-e378e39b-9d96-43c0-bde7-ae01d966132d

Very sad for the little one and could have easily been prevented. I saw on the news that several calls where made about aggressive coyotes BEFORE the attack. Also saw it takes 3-5 days for them to get back to you when you call. It's a Blue Liberal run county so nothing surprises me about how they conduct business but I feel sorry for the kid.

And to top it off, the poor little guy will probably have to take a series of rabies shots. Very sad for toddler and the parents.
