Built this gun about 7 years ago … bought it and immediately sent it out to get chopped down and threaded. It’s had the factory wood on it until this past week after I ordered a new handguard and instantly took the bandsaw too it 🤣🤣Definitely digging the new look . Gonna try out my new thermal I just picked up , and I’m testing out some supersonic ammo for a guy the week or two … now I need to figure out how to upload videos from the scope !

This thing sure sounds sweet with 550 grain subs too (coyote in last pic shot with these) if you like gun/kill pics follow me on IG @txnighthunter

The small calibers are a nice change after shooting something big like my 70 cal bolt rifle with 950 grain solids .

550 grains should be enough to kill a coyote...
Adios,
Gary

45-70? I’ve been leaning this way for an easy to carry rifle.

She's a beaut Clark

Is that a Iray Falcon import? I can't blow the phone pic up enough to tell.

Just a word of caution from some personal experiences: You may want to consider retapping that receiver with for some heavier hardware if you're playing with spicy supersonic loads.

Over the years I've had 2 problems with 1895G bear guns end up with problems on the XS rail after regularly shooting and heavy hardcast hand loads. Both happened with heavier optics mounted. I've shot a mountain of hot reloads using the scout irons or a Aimpoint T1 without problems though.
