Anyone using a portable solar station? If so, what are you using?

Lots of options out there. I have a generator but want something to take on the road and use at home if needed.

Ideally, I'd like to "build" the set up for the panels to charge the it when i dont have access to electricity. Seems like it would be cheaper that route.

Yes, you can easily put together your own system that would out perform the ready made units. I suggest spending some time looking at these guys for their calculators and advice. Your primary components are panels, a charge controller, battery and inverter.

A Democracy is when two wolves and a lamb vote on the dinner menu. That is why this country was specifically not designed as a Democracy. We are a Constitutional Republic.

I bought the Ecoflow Pro with Two Expansion Battery's and six RICH 200watt panels giving us 10.8kWh I've been very pleased with it and it's plug and play. Off Grid Trek has No Tax and NO Shipping! I bought my Two Expansion Battery's from them and found the Pro at Costco for under 3k.
