I finished up these 6 arrows and they’re ready to hunt. I wrapped the points and the shaft below them with sinew but didn’t like the way they looked so I went over it with artificial sinew. The real sinew is still there. Each point ranges from 121 to 123 grains. They’re 1-3/8” long and 1-1/16” wide. Sharp, pointy, and ready to fly. The second from the left has a funky edge from my weight reduction so it will probably spend this year in the quiver.

Wow PH! Beautiful job. I envy your skill. Do you by any chance knap gun flints?

Wow. There's a short list of hunters in the US that can do that. Beautiful work. Maybe that arrow 2nd from the left could be used in a bail of hay instead of resting in the quiver?

Beautiful, really want to see some dead animals with these.

Did you naturally find or make the shafts as well?

Yeah, it’s going to be a practice arrow. I usually shoot at a leaf on a dirt bank for practice. I can’t really shoot hay because these points are almost impossible to pull back out. Pushing them through is really hard on the feathers.

No, no, no. I respect those that make their own shafts but I got these from 3Rivers. My hypocrisy knows no bounds. 😁

PH, very interesting. As others have said, beautiful work done with obvious skill & care.
What about your bow - did you make your own bow?

Thanks. The bow was made by Dan Quillian shortly before he passed. He was the premier longbow builder in the day of Fred Bear. Somehow, I got hold of his phone number years ago and called him. We talked about longbows for a long time and I ordered one. He called me after a few weeks, said he had a health setback, and would I take a bow he already had ready to go. I called him a few times after I got it for tips on shooting it and then he was gone.
