How do these work? You order one and they send it with your current plate number? Or is it a new registration?

How do these work? You order one and they send it with your current plate number? Or is it a new registration? Tips for Ordering a Plate No need to wait for vehicle registration renewal. Cost will be pro-rated. Order Online: You won't need your Vehicle Identification Number (VIN) or current plate number when you order, only when you pick up your new plates. Your plates will be mailed to your local county tax office for pickup in two to three weeks and they should call you when they're in. If not, please call TxDMV at 1(888) 368-4689 for status. Clicking the “order” button will transfer you to myplates.com to complete your order. This site processes orders for the TxDMV, who is responsible for the manufacture and distribution of all Texas licenses plates. For questions email to: vtr_special_plates@TxDMV.gov or call TxDMV at 1-888-368-4689. Order In person: Visit your local county tax office to order. Your plates will be mailed to your home in two to three weeks. I put the "Hunt Texas" plates on the Tundra. (Buck Whitetail.) I thought that plate used to say a percentage went to Bighorn and Pronghorn surveys, but I haven't been able to find that again. 'Course, some think that plate tells meth heads that there's a firearm in the truck. I don't have any hunting/gun mfg. stickers on my back window at least.

I can only comment on the ones I’ve had. When I bought them my registration month changed, I did not pay extra for personalized plates because that money did not go to the cause, with that said.... the numbers and letters on the plate were random
Never been to a camping world. I prefer Dick's to be honest.

I would put these on my truck, then the crooks would realize all I had inside was a cheap $20 pair of Simmons binoculars and some Grapenut cereal and move on.
