At my place in Throckmorton we don’t see them in the fall. They usually show up at my spot mid March-April 1st and leave by June. I checked my cameras yesterday mid day and the first turkey pictures I had was on 4/1. I hunted this morning and got one. Had 3 gobblers and 12 hens come in. Gobblers were going crazy!
We've got a place in Woodson, and those turkeys are few and far in between for whatever reason. Last one I shot there was in 2015. Gave it another go last year, no gobbles, tracks, nada.

Benn slow so far DQ, we've probably called in 10 birds and not a single longbeard. We had a group of 5 jakes in this morning strutting and gobbling but no shooters. My best place I hunt on the river west of Graham has produced Zero gobbles so far this spring, not sure what has happened there.
we have quite a few young birds. Sometimes you will see around 20 under a feeder at anytime. I was able to get a gobbler opening week but they were pretty quite birds. good luck out there.
Been out twice this season and will go out again for the last time this weekend. Seeing 50+ birds a day, stalking to shooting range on about half of those but all hens and jakes. Glassed one Tom and I was able to get within 60yds but couldn’t close from there. Too many hens running around this year on our place to have any luck calling Toms but I guess that’s a good thing. Jakes are sprinting into the call so it’s still fun and good practice.
