Nice shot! Awesome animal.

How far did it go? You could tell it was hurt bad(especially because the picture haha), but curious.

I’ve booked one for Jan 2024. Right now I’m leaning toward a 30 Nosler w/ 200 accubond.

I would say about 60yds or so. I love my stw BUT sometimes speed is bad. At close ranges, inside 200yds the projectiles tend to disintegrate. Now bleep in mind they do catastrophic hydro shock and liquefy everything but almost never exit and little to no blood trail. I have never lost an animal or had anything go any further than this but I have also been very lucky with very good shot placement. A 30 nosier with 200 gr bonded projectile would be great. Now for long range my stw drops them in their tracks.

Congrats! Some of the toughest animals in N. America, and absolutely my most favorite game to eat.

Great job. Out by the King?

Did that bullet disintegrate on the far shoulder? Any exit?
