Thanks everyone! We worked hard for this one. That's awesome congrats to your granddaughter How did she get into racing, you or her dad or? It was in her blood. I raced motorcycles in various forms but mostly off-road hare scramble and enduro stuff. My son was raised on motorcycles, racing RC cars and scratch built gokarts. He worked at a dirt track for a few years and scratch built her a gokart that she raced for 3 seasons and did pretty well against the 5K factory roller karts. He raced for a few seasons in IMCA Sport Mod and IMCA Modified and her Mom raced Sport Compact class for 2 seasons. For the 2020 season we reworked the Sport Mod into an EMod and installed a parts box 305 and Powerglide that I built and she ran her first season in and got 3rd overall in track points. Next season, we put a 350 crate motor in same car and she ran 3rd overall in track points again. EMod class is open to all ages and 60-70 percent of the drivers are adults. For 2022. we are concentrating on Jr Limited which is limited to 13-16 year old drivers. This class runs at Heart of Texas in Waco on Friday night and Kennedale Speedway Park in Kennedale on Saturday night. Currently running 2nd at Waco and 5th in Kennedale. Might buy a set of plugs for the car. One of my sons is ate up with racing and lots of $$$$ in his car. Happy for your grand daughter she'll go far in this and have fun to boot.

Yessir, it's a money pit. Luckily, we are able to fab most of what we need including specialized tools to make other parts, make our own bodies and I build the motors, transmissions, rear ends and do all the maintenance. We are also gifted with good sponsors and a large racing family that helps offset the costs somewhat. Even with lots of help in both sponsor money and labor from friends, just getting to track is expensive.
