There use to be a guy that advertised here about using beetles on skulls for removing everything. Does anyone know if he is still around or how to get in touch with him? Or someone that does the same thing.
I found a dead young otter this morning and would like to have the skeleton. I think it had been out too long for stuffing.

Don't know about who you're referring to and beetles are probably the better option. I've only done my own deer skull without any specific beetles. Skinned it, dug a hole put the head in and covered with sand. Covered with a bucket that was weighted down so other mammals couldn't get to it, and waited a bit over a month. Got the majority of it cleaned, and I was okay with the very small bits that remained around the antlers.

skin it sink it in a bucket of water for a month or so take it out lightly pressurewash it boil (simmer) it in water and a bottle of peroxide for 30 mins turn off heat let it set in in the hot water overnight then hose it off . i do over 300 skulls a season this works like a charm .
