I had one in the classifieds for a while. A Honda 2800. Thought I had it sold, but the buyer could never seem to come get it or meet me, so I just decided to keep it. I did a long term storage service, per Honda directions, put it under a cover, and there she sits till I need it. I would swap it for a Honda 2200 Companion. I’ll put that in the Classifieds, for what it’s worth. Can’t hurt.

I can’t pair up the 2800 with my 2200. I need a 2200i Companion model to pair up with my existing 2200i to get to 30 amps for my TT. I could sell the 2800 and then buy the 2200 I need, but I tried that once before and the buyer kept delaying the sale, so I decided to keep the 2800 for now. Probably a very small chance anyone would want the reverse of what I want, but I might as well bring up the option.
It really isn’t that big a deal, since the times I need 30 amps from a generator are few and far between. Still, it would be good to have the setup if I did need it.

I see them on FB a lot. Generators and fish finders at too good to believe prices. Hopefully they did not put his CC to other uses like some of the scammers on FB.

"He's an electrician and was planning on flipping them to residential customers during the next grid outage." You have no idea how warm and fuzzy it makes me feel inside to hear of a "flipper" getting burned...

You have no idea how warm and fuzzy it makes me feel inside to hear of a "flipper" getting burned... Then why don't you buy some and sell them at a loss when the are needed? Nowhere has it been said anyone was going to take a ridiculously outrageous profit by buying generators, housing them, storing them, taking the risk of loss and everything else just so they can be on hand when people might need them and be willing to buy them.
