They should fine their azz and make 'em pay triple as you can do for damages when willful as it was willful! Having Managers in a Tip pool is also the most ridiculous thing I've ever heard, they're Managers for crying out loud.

I funded my education on Tips, so I hate to see folks working hard get screwed by BS like this.

Ate at the Coppell location once, no desire of going back.

Ditto here for the Stephenville spot. Silly idea trying to imitate the old school line-along-the-pit theme, ridiculous wait time, distracted college kids playing at working.

BBQ at most places can be hit or miss, but they’re mostly miss. The Stephenville location was the worst. I thought one of their best things were the big pot of beans. Not saying a lot when a side dish is better than your main dish.

I get the no overtime deal, that is BS unless you agreed to it up front. On the tips, I would assume that is a marginal amount anyway, you get your own drinks and condiments, you pick your sides up on your own, you carry your own trays to the trash, who would you be tipping? The guys cutting the meat?

Not for all the tea in China.

I have never been there but maybe they have a touchscreen that they show every customer when you pay in line to get the guilt tip. So one big tip pool and they included management employees in distribution of it.

Not a hard 8 fan. Maybe 407 can take over their Colony location if they go tts up

I'm not a customer of any chain BBQ place like Hard Eight, so I don't have any personal experience there. But, that's a well known law that restaurant owners/management knowingly broke. That's a real slap in the face to the staff who should have been recipients of the tips.

Not fair but I'll bet it's a cash flow issue and just trying to stay open.

So, two things:

1) When did the alleged infractions occur? I wonder what the regulation was before it was updated.
2) Define "employees' tips" vs "yeah, I'm the manager, but somebody tipped *me*". No, I'm not suggesting that covers all the allegation.

Was this across all stores or only Roanoke? Or is Roanoke simply listed because that's where the business is based while maybe the allegations are from other stores?

Lastly, their BBQ is overrated.

I'll NEVER pay $28-$30 a pound for cooked brisket. Keep it.

I used to get take our from there and would leave a tip for the folks that did a good job wrapping everything up. Not 20%, but I'm sure it added up.

Over priced, horrible BBQ.

I hope they fired the entire management team at that location.

Fair at best…their prices reflect wagyu meat quality but it’s no where close.
