After James Kosizek won the Wyoming Super Tag trifecta, some friends did the math for him, according to The Sheridan Press. Assuming they're right, the odds against drawing his three chosen prize-winning tags individually in the same year were .0000006%, or roughly 1 in 16,000,000. That’s almost 16 times greater than than Kosizek’s chance of being hit by lightning. He passed on a Big Horn sheep?
Out of these choices, what would you have chosen?
Bighorn sheep, Shiras moose, Rocky Mountain elk, mountain goat, mule deer, whitetail deer, wild bison, pronghorn, mountain lion, gray wolf, and black bear.
I would have done Bighorn, Moose and Wolf.

I have already taken bighorn sheep, mountain goat, elk, mule deer, whitetail deer, pronghorn and black bear. So if I drew this I would be after moose, wolf and cougar.

Definitely a wolf and a mountain lion. From there it’s a tough choice between the elk, moose, and bison.

Wolf and mountain lion are cheap hunts. Mine would be sheep, mountain goat, and since we are talking a tag I can use anywhere, elk. Moose would be tempting, but I've hunted them in Alaska, and I'm afraid a Shiras wouldn't measure up.
