One of my hunters killed a Tom this morning with multiple beards. I scored it according to NWTF and it scores 83.5 for non-typical. Problem is we don't know how good that is. Is that a good score for a non-typical Rio?

Thats a good bird, but to get in the books its probably going to need to be over 100. I killed one in Ga that scored in the 130s and it was number 12 in the state.

Interesting. I didn't know there was a scoring system for turkeys.

I bet mallards and pintails are next.

Weight + beard length times 2 + spur length times 10

Pretty dumb to me. I guess next will be a squirrel scoring system…

My scoring system is if it comes within 40 yards and makes my heart race, then it’s big enough.
