I'm looking to buy a pool heat pump. Been having a hard time getting in touch with anyone.

Reached out to 10 companies. Spoke with 3 out of those 10 on the phone. 2 promised to have a project manager contact me - been almost 2 weeks with no response. The company I spoke with today wanted to charge me $175 to come out and give a quote eek2

Went through a similar process when I had my pool resurfaced. Even the company that resurfaced my pool hasn't responded to my email or voicemail... lol.

Does anyone have any suggestions for companies that install heat pumps in the Richardson/Plano area? Pretty much exhausted the list of companies I found in Google Maps within a 15 mile radius.

We looked at doing this as well. We had sunbelt pools come out. They quoted it. It was like 12k. We decided against.

I’d come out and quote for free, but I’m down in Houston so that’s a no go. If you want to pm me we can talk about the different options to give you a better understanding.

They are not that complicated. Order one and install it yourself.

I asked the company that built and services my pool about about putting in a heater. Followed up a couple of times. Finally they sent someone out to give a quote. He said he will need to get with his concrete guy as I need a bigger pad. That was about 20 months ago.

This.
I got a quote to re-pipe my pump, add a fill line and do a seal job on the pump on our pool. Cheapest quote was well over $2k. It cost me about $150 in material and took around 2 hours to do.

This is an option, but don’t expect to get warranty service if needed unless you have a RAIL license

1st, ya lost me on “heat pump”.

You just want an in-line heater? Gas or electric? How big is your current pump/filter set up currently?

Heat pumps generally double as a chiller as well, bad thing is, when it gets cold they are prone to condensation freezing. Some have auto defrost.
