As a guy who's sitting here in the middle of Texas looking at a herd of elk, some gemsbok and oryx, I don't have much issue with them turning some kangaroos loose. I kind of wonder if they'll be able to survive the winter up there though

LOL. I tried kangaroo meat in SE Asia, it was pretty dang good. The son of one of my ex managers is a commercial roo hunter in Australia, and also guides roo hunts. I was invited to go and was pumped, and was getting ready to when covid hit and everything shut down.
They have to have all hides and all meat clean or they can't sell them, no body shots. They are required by law to shoot them in the head only. Before you can hunt, you have to qualify with a rifle. If you can't shoot a tight group (I forget now the diameter) then you can't shoot at roos. Hopefully I'll get another opportunity some day.....

Got me too. And I was thinking earlier today how I hate April fools cuz everybody comes up with some stupid something or another. I'd recognized the first five or six goofy stories that I seen as April fool's jokes, but I did not pay attention to this one close enough LOL. This is also the only April fool's joke I've seen so far today that it's actually kind of funny
