I bought a pair of the Talley CZ 452 rings off of Amazon to install on my 452 American. After installation, I noticed a decent gap between the rings at the dovetail. After doing some research, the rings I bought look to be 11mm while this CZ model may be 3/8 dovetail. I called the guys at Talley, and he said it should work just fine as long as it’s torqued down. What do y’all think? I would think for a 22lr it should be okay but wanted to get your opinions on it. I tried rotating the scope and it won’t budge so the rings are snug down on it.

11mm are for air rifles. You should return them and buy the correct size.

CZ started making the 455 and 457 on the 11mm dovetail so it’s not just for air guns. Apparently they made the switch to that from the 3/8 dovetail. Mechanically I think the scope would have slightly more torque at the top portion of the ring instead of equal across, but I don’t know if that is worth the hassle of sending it back since they don’t sell the 3/8 on AMZ anyways.
