Don’t know what to think other than they seem to be run of the mil, gerber type quality? Is sharpe so far, I read they went out of business so maybe not quality?
Came across this for $20 and figured it’ll make a decent boat knife or something, am I trashing a good knife?
What do y’all know about these?

looks like you are correct in your assumption , but at 20 dollars , Use it and abuse it . I have 20 dollar knives for the same thing. Buy you self a sharening stone and you can also practice sharpening on this. USE AND ABUSE

Best bang for the buck , IS THE BUCK. Buck knives have the best "cheap" steel on the market. They have perfected the 420hc steel and it holds up better than others. Yes you can get something at a 300 dollar price range for for hard use buck is the one. As Bill would say , "look it up"......

That is a 12 dollar Walmart knife. Inside the handle, is just a sliver of metal running to the blade, with plastic molded around it. Be careful with it and expect it to break at the handle with any hard use.

A friend gave me a folding type with my name engraved on it, for a favor I did for him.
It’s a beautiful knife and I’ve had it for 40 years but never used it.

A Camillus from 40 years ago, is better quality, then what they made in their last 10 years!

for every stereotype there's a prototype don't be the prototype

I have a Buck 110 that's the sharpest knife I've had. Probably 25 years old.
