She has 6 eggs and has been sitting on them for a little over a week. He is on guard.

Neat. I saw a pair on my neighbors pond this week. I hope they nest there, as it is fun to watch the little ones grow up. The bigger pond up the road usually has several pairs the nest there.

Lake Palestine has had a resident flock for a few years. I am glad they mostly stay on across the lake from my house.
I don't have to put up with their Krap. The blue herons krap on the dock more than enough.
I like hearing the Gooses smile , but I like hearing the Loons better. I've never seen more than 2 Loons on my end of the lake , ever.

MY BACKYARD , 20,000 ACRES , NO MOWING smile

The gooses hatched 4 little gooses. Then a few days later there were 3. Then a few days later there were 2 then 1. Today I found the last one dead. It was not killed, there were no ants on it. It was just dead. Now there are no more little gooses. It is a tough go out there for little gooses.
