Last week when battling the wind in South Texas, Kristine Holden guided by Derrick Byrd killed this nice swine. Kristine made a great shot as the board trotted across an open field. Kristine is the young lady that I took bear hunting in the Navajo Nation last spring. She was a Texas State Cheerleader for four years and an Ambassador for "Turning Point USA", the conservative young folks organization started by Charlie Kirk. She loves hunting as much as anyone I have taken to the woods and wears a big smile no matter how slow the hunting might be.
The shot she made on this hog was approximately 70, the boar was trotting from right to left which is a difficult swing for a LH shooter. First shot was in the shoulder that put him down and a second shot to the head to finish the 250-260 pound hog.
