I'm also among those that think it will get ugly.
When we talk about possible bad times, I think few of us appreciate how bad it could be.
My grandmother was widowed with two kids right at the beginning of the Great Depression. My dad was two weeks old when his dad died. I remember her telling stories about what they did to survived and have food to eat for the first 10 years after my grandfather died.
Farming a couple of acres of sand hill, hand pumping water from a well, then watering each plant individually...still going hungery most nights, because they needed to sell as much of what they produced as they possibly could.
She was hard, proud woman. And she still reused aluminum foil and saved her bacon dripping until the day she died.
We all need to practice Whoa more.

I have been "Mr. Positive" most of my life. Now, and for the last year or so, I've started to change.
I hate to say my mind and heart are starting to believe "nothing matters anymore." Perhaps the sky is really beginning to fall.
It's time!
Blessings to us all!

We don’t live beyond our means and never have. Those of us that have been blessed because we worked hard, knew the difference between a want and a need and took care of of business may be feeling the pain too. Inflation makes money worth a lot less. I don’t know how bad it will get, but maybe really bad. Land could go up even higher because it’s used as a hedge against inflation. High fuel prices makes everything go up. If we ever get grown people running the country that has common sense instead of the agenda driven idiots running the country know, this could be turned around. Until then there’s not a lot of hope for the average family raising a family.

No the sky is not falling.
Years ago my wife said "you don't get worked up, or worry about anything, why?"
I told her I will only get worked up if there is a problem that I can do something about, and I have not, or am not doing anything about it. That, I can control. If there is a problem I cannot do anything about, I let go of it.
This national problem, I cannot do anything about, unless I run for President. Which ain't happening. So, just like any squared away adult does, deal with problems as they happen, based on previous experience. And if a problem arises, I do not have previous experience with, I almost always can say "I know a guy" and I call him.

The last admin showed everyone how the "economics" are manipulated to get the masses to dance and told us what was to come very fast. BUT it was conspiracy theory.

No doubt, the near future is going to really vacuum it, but I have hope for the rebound after the sky falls.
I was telling someone today that I'd noticed that the worse and more scary things became, the more positive my outlook. You can almost hear the gears turning in the minds of the masses as things get real. I have hope that the coming pain will spark realization around the world. Things are different from the last big wars. Technology to communicate across the planet didn't exist before now. Fun to watch the usual leftist news outlets trying to pretend credibility as events unfold that bear no resemblance to what they claim them to be. Sometimes you have to crash to realize you were going the wrong way. I think that Americans especially have the capacity for another great advancement after the fall.
For example, rooting for the Climate Change team means that when they start to get what they've been told they've always wanted, the outcome is not what they were told that they believed. Solar is unreliable and wind turbines become profitable just as they hit the end of their service life. This "climate change" tech lives mostly through government subsidies, it seems. Texans reacted appropriately to the freeze a while back. Still, the result (goal) of shutting off the power of the western countries would have to be to collapse them. People will start seeing that. A few American lefties will realize their mistakes when the grid goes down and they can't charge their electric car to go get a $10 coffee. When they see news of thousands of people dying in food riots in real-time in some other country, they'll say "Hmmmm". Soon enough I think we will see these food/energy problems here. Time to plant.
When something new comes along, we tend to weaponize it first, until we turn it to some good. Like with nukes: 1st came Nagasaki/Hiroshima, later came cheap energy. Same with tech like planes, rockets, radar, etc. And the internet is a fantastic weapon against us now. We must learn how to communicate with each other, to take power back from governments, so that populations can set the agenda without it being something false and corrupt like socialism, communism, fascism, etc. Make whoopee, not war. Get to know your neighbors and start quietly planning.
Not as easy to quietly wipe out populations with war or government edict anymore. Stalin killed about 4 million Ukrainians through starvation- trying to turn the countryside into collectivized farms in the 1930s. Putin has a far bigger problem when killing a few civilian Ukrainians today, since the population there remembers that last b.s., and can communicate with each other and the world. And the world is watching closely. Even Canada proved that people are perceiving the ignorant abuses of governments and a few are willing to call it out. Most people (even those from intolerant religions) never do want to start wars or starvation or to be exploited by a tiny corrupt minority of a leadership class. All humans start out with the same natural drives, and now they can see and talk to the world, and do some thinking on their own. We are in reach of either falling into slavery or changing our world.

You could learn a lot from a "savage". My grandma taught us many things the earth had to offer. We still use her knowledge but progress has all but erased this knowledge and replaced it with advancements that continue to set us back in spiritualism. "Once the spirit is lost to the world it will be hard to save it" she said.
Sometimes it's hard being me! But somebody has to do it.

The sky is not falling. What is happening is the liberals are trying to jerk the rug out from under the middle class.

If you've ever had a real tragedy or disaster hit you, you know how quickly it can help you find your priorities. ........and I mean quick.
