Does anyone have a personal review of this cookbook?

Wife got it for me for my birthday and I was so excited, but when I got to reading it, I realized I'd never try the majority of the recipes. I would never even have the ingredients he uses in my house. If you are really into cooking, you might use it. I love to cook, but I'm not going to go buy a bunch of ingredients for a one time meal. I'm glad I have it, but I wouldn't buy it knowing what I know now.

The venison Bolognese is pretty damn good. There are some strange proteins used in there, but you could still make the dishes just using standard proteins.

Thanks for the feedback. I thought about buying it to try new dishes. The feedback helps.

Haven't had the chance to read either one. You have to ask yourself tho - "Do you want to follow the recipe of a cook who gave himself and crew trichinosis, from eating rare Bear??"

He eats raw meat in about every episode I’ve ever watched, not shocked he got the T.
