Someone should start a “birds of prey” thread! I have no photos, but I always enjoy them and I know many people do. Could also bring up some good discussion!

Last Spring I was heading to town to do some shopping....driving along the highway I saw a large Red Tailed Hawk struggling to fly away with what looked to be about a 4' long snake.
A Rat Snake is my guess based only on color and girth. The hawk was just barely able to remain airborne but still unwilling to land or let the snake drop away.
I've seen them with smaller snakes before....but this one was big! Wish I had a way to have video'd that.

Brutal.
Somehow I always thought they would tear their prey (even small stuff) into bits and eat it. This Great Horned Owl pinned the Cardinal down with its talons, pulled the head off with its beak and swallowed the bird whole....I kid you not. Feathers, body, feet...everything but the head.
