I wasted away the afternoon drinking wine and watching Shane. And my camera just showed me about six or eight 50 pound pigs at my back feeder. And here I am slightly intoxicated…bummer.. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2022/02/full-37680-338108-cd97269e_bb35_4da3_8c5b_eb90178407b2.jpeg)

I'm not sure that I would call that a wasted afternoon.

Wine before swine. (I did the exact same thing today. The drinking, not the watching. She did have one glass, so it wasn't a whole bottle under my belt. )

It’s pigs galore because I had no pigs to hunt until they showed up. In the past I’ve had large sounders on the place. Caught 16 at one time in my biggest trap a few years ago.
Went after them last evening, but they were a no-show.

Well, the 6 haven’t come back, but I do have a fat boar that’s frequenting the feeder. His predecessor, the polka dotted pig, is now in the freezer, and there isn’t room for the new guy - yet. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2022/03/full-37680-338901-d497256c_9475_4adc_9d91_a719248a91a1.jpeg)

This is Pigs Galore. Hate these things. Good Lord, flintkapper, you'e redefined "target rich environment!" Had to build a 3rd dedicated Hog Stand to hunt from. Almost finished with it. There is just no end to these hogs. And my 'busy' season is getting ready to start. Hopefully not have to repair as much pasture as last year. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2022/03/full-56101-339038-night1.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2022/03/full-56101-339039-night2.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2022/03/full-56101-339040-07.jpg)

They've been comfortable so far. I haven't spent a lot of time in one yet (couple of hours). I would be fine with just about anything but my older Brother has lower back problems and I wanted a good, padded, highback seat for him. So they are just boat seats. I built the stand to have 'side by side' seats so that two hunters can use the stand at the same time. They are on adjustable height pedestals and swivel of course. I had to hinge mount one of the seat pedestals in order to provide more room when entering the blind because where I wanted the doorway. No biggie. ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2022/03/full-56101-339157-013.jpg) ![[Linked Image]](https://texashuntingforum.com/forum/pics/userpics/2022/03/full-56101-339158-012.jpg) Its quick and easy to lock it down with a draw latch. Anyway....the pigs will be moving soon with the onset of springtime weather. So I need to be ready for them.
