The property I purchased has a shop/barn/barndo already built. The shop is extremely dark and windows would be effective. One door faces east, the other west. The company who made the doors didn't survive Covid madness. Any suggestions on a window kit I could buy and install for 2'x12' insulated panels for the shop rollup doors?

Used to do them all the time at work, when we would have a standard 1 3/4" steel door and wanted a square window in it. Is security an issue for you? How many do you want to install? Log onto Grainger Inc. website and check out their window kits. They make a 5" H x 36" wide one which might be just what you want for a single one.
One other thing., just go by your local glass company and see if they do them, or recommend where to get them yourself

Is it a sectional door with tracks that go up and then horizontal at the top? If so, any garage door company can get one for you. I have never heard of a window kit for a true roll up door.

I've not been getting results with local door companies. Lots of complaining about supply problems. Log onto Grainger Inc. website and check out their window kits. They make a 5" H x 36" wide one which might be just what you want for a single one. One other thing., just go by your local glass company and see if they do them, or recommend where to get them yourself Two choices I had not thought of....I didn't even consider Grainger.

A glass company may be able to fix you up.

I had to build a frame and rear window for an auto today. I used 3/4" x 3/4" aluminum angle and 1/8" thick Lexan sheet. The advantage over Plexiglas is that Lexan is unbreakable. Are you handy at all? Go to Home Depot, get the materials, and build two identical frames the size you want. Cut out the hole the size you want, either with grinder and metal wheel or Sawzall, seal with silicone sealant and lay the plastic on the hole, bolt together
