I started watching it. Kept it on mute till the race started. Got a glass of wine and a chunk of cheese. Watched for a while and finally realized that I just don’t care. Reminds me of an old Bob Dylan song - where he sings “I used to care, but things have changed”. That song says a lot about the world today…

Red or White wine? Cheddar or goat cheese? Watching that I would prefer red with cheddar.

I have it on while messing around online. Just don't have the passion for Nascar that I once had. Too many changes and the Bubba Wallace BS really soured it for me. Wife is sick so I'm stuck in the house anyways.

Just home from voting. Watching last off race. It is not the same as the days of old.

If the 2nd amendment was written just to include guns for hunting, why is there not an amendment to protect fishing poles?

Red wine. Don’t know what it is. Wife pulled out a bottle and said we’ll try this. Not bad. The cheese is Irish cheddar (Kerrygold).

I had to do something, so I grabbed the chainsaw and went back to the woodpile to cut some to split this week. Got one empty wood rack and a big downed white oak.

👍 on the wine and cheese. Nope on the chainsaw. Arm not ready for that yet.

Spacejunkie, my arm and shoulder are in pretty good shape now. The left side isn’t as strong as the right side, but most times I forget that I ever had a problem. One thing that seemed to help was my going back to feeding tennis balls to the high school kids. Toss the ball with the left hand and hit it with a tennis racket - hundreds of times a day. After a couple of days of that, my shoulder got stronger and more pain free. First time or two though, I was taking Advil. Only remaining issue is that it still hurts to sleep on my left side, though it isn’t much pain, but just enough to keep me awake. Took a year for the other side to recover completely, and I guess I’m in month 7 1/2 on this side.

I’ll tell you what I won’t do with a chainsaw. I would not dream of trying to pull start one left handed. The thought scares me.

YEP !!!

another sample of the new norm

All Inclusive, Kum Bay Ya.

I get it just wish it wasn't FREEEEKING RAMMED DOWN MY THROAT everywhere I look.

The end of the race which I saw after a 3-hour nap was good. Lots of wrecks and cars catching on fire.

AND Bubba Wallace lost by a nose and was cussing, and butt hurt roflmao

What really changed was the move to make every car exactly equal in every way; in the old days it was who had the best engine and who had the best car.

They changed that to allow the teams that did not have big budgets and sponsorship to compete with the those that did.

I used to watch NASCAR, and have my favorite driver, but these days I don't recognize 80% of the drivers. I turned it on for a little bit and saw some wrecks, but noticed that Tony Stewart was doing the broadcast. How do they let that guy in the stadium after he ran over that driver in that incident??? bubba wallace and tony stewart sum up what I think about nascar, garbage.

Ahh, Wallace...

At least Danica had talent.

The organization lost its soul when it went woke. I miss attending the road races, but NASCAR killed the fun.

They did kill the fun. Back when Richard Petty was racing, and cars didn’t look all the same. And old time Moonshiners like Buck Baker were racing. It WAS fun. I was a Ford guy. My best bud was a Dodge guy. My cousin was a Chevy guy. We gave each other hell.

I hate to say it, but the fun has been sucked out of just about everything these days. And to make matters worse, I can’t find any Girl Scout cookies. I need thin mints. That would help my mood.
