Small group of smaller adults and some piglets came into the corner of the property where I was set up right at sundown. Never seen this group before. I had thrown some corn down so they were doing there thing. Sow was first. As the rest went to the fence crossing pinch point two more shots. There was some crashing in the woods so I think I hit a second adult. The piglets were unexpected bonuses.

I switched to 150 gr. custom loaded SP today. The shot on the possibly pregnant sow was quartering to me about 80 yards. Entered behind the ear and blew out the near shoulder near the spine. When harvesting the backstraps had some blood spots towards the back of the hog. I attempted to harvest the far ham but there was a sizable hole from shrapnel that bled quite a bit. Not knowing the path I suspected some gut juice so I abandoned that ham.

Keep killin' 'em!

If you find yourself feeling useless, remember it took 20 years, trillions of dollars, and four presidents to replace the Taliban with the Taliban.

Sometimes the Universe puts you in the same situation again to see if you’re still a dumbass.
