I’d head to Papadeaux, since I don’t get to go but once every blue moon. Or if you get a little further out towards Richmond, Larry’s Mexican on Hwy 90.

There is a place called Live Oak Grill in Sugarland that is pretty good. Sugarland City Center has some really good restaurants like Jupiter Pizza & Waffles, Japaneiros, Guru Burgers, Rouxpour, and State Fare. We love going to eat Indian food, and SW Houston is the best spot for this type of food IMO. Aga's is in Sugarland/Stafford area and is bomb, get the goat chops and your tongue will be slapping your mouth. Also, Himalaya is really good, it was on Anthony Bourdain's show.

There used to be land between Sugarland and Houston too...and that was when I was a kid in the late 90's early 2000's. It is solid Houston from New Caney to Richmond along 59 now. Then you should have seen it in the early ‘70’s. I thought it was a long drive from Sugar Land to Richmond. It’s only 8 miles. It was all prison land until sometime in the 80’s.

Me and wife are trying to figure out where Houston will stop, and buy land beyond there to get out of this mess. Seems there is no end to the development.

Grew up in that area about the same time. Used hunt and fish right off 59. Brazos Turnaround was always fun too! I'm sure that is all gone now. Remember the little movie theater in Sugarland?

The Palms Theatre.
Used to off road my first 4x4 F150 at the Brazos river turnaround. Did have to leave it out there overnight once.
